Muhamad Asvial, M.Eng, melakukan peninjauan terhadap penelitian yang dilakukan oleh kolaborasi dosen dan mahasiswa Program Studi Teknik Teknik Elektro, Teknik Mesin, dan Teknik Sipil Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi Pertahanan Universitas Pertahanan RI (FSTP Unhan RI) terhadap uji coba tahap pertama alat desalinasi air laut dengan tenaga surya (Tubular Solar Still) bertempat di depan labolatorium terpadu Unhan RI, Kawasan IPSC, Sentul.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/ftm.idu.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2023-08-29-at-18.28.08-1024x682-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3208\" width=\"371\" height=\"246\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ftm.idu.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2023-08-29-at-18.28.08-1024x682-1.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/ftm.idu.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2023-08-29-at-18.28.08-1024x682-1-300x200.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/ftm.idu.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2023-08-29-at-18.28.08-1024x682-1-768x512.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 371px) 100vw, 371px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-container-69f1fccdd3384 wp-block-group\">\n<p>Tubular Solar Still berguna untuk mengurangi kadar garam dari air laut dengan memanfaatkan proses evaporasi. Secara keseluruhan, alat ini didesain agar bisa beroperasi penuh dengan memanfaatkan sumber energi terbarukan. Cara kerja alat ini adalah, sinar matahari dipanen oleh PLTS kemudian disimpan dalam baterai yang akan membangkitkan pompa dari sumber air laut ke bak penampungan. Air yang telah diendapkan di bak penampungan kemudian dipompa ke dalam Tubular Solar Still. Dengan memanfaatkan panas matahari pada area yang terisolasi, air akan menguap ke bagian permukaan alat dan butiran air akan menetes ke dasar alat untuk ditampung. Hasil air bersih diharapkan layak untuk keperluan sanitasi maupun air minum.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/ftm.idu.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2023-08-29-at-18.28.08-2.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3205\" width=\"284\" height=\"187\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-container-69f1fccdd3623 wp-block-group\">\n<p>Penelitian dilakukan mulai dari studi literatur hingga dilanjutkan dengan pengadaan alat dan bahan beserta komponen mekanikal dan elektrikal, lalu perakitan sehingga tujuan akhirnya dapat diimplementasi di pulau kecil. Rektor Unhan RI memberikan apresiasi yang tinggi akan projek ini.
